About US
What is IPRO?
International Prisoners Relief Organisation (IPRO) is a worldwide non-denominational, non-political, non-profit, and non-governmental organization of prisoners by the prisoners and for the prisoners.
IPRO was founded by prisoners of Nairobi Remand and Allocation Prison between 2001-2003. The idea was rooted in a vision by Arch Bishop Dr. Alexander Mwingira DD, who envisioned an organization that would support prisoners and their families.
We are a worldwide non-denominational, non-political, non-profit, and non-governmental organization of prisoners by the prisoners and for the prisoners, working to break the cycle of crime and restore lives.
